Simple to read.

Last updated: 28 August 2026
These terms explain how you may use the Rubber Torch website and what applies when you place an order with us. They do not reduce any legal rights you have as a consumer.
About these terms
Who we are and what applies.
1. Who we are
Rubber Torch is the trading name of DSOLOMON LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. We sell practical LED torches, headlamps and related lighting products through rubbertorch.com.
Legal name: DSOLOMON LTD
Company number: 09840279
VAT number: GB443546687
Business address: Office A13, Champions Business Park, Wirral, CH49 0AB
Email: admin@rubbertorch.com
Telephone: 0151 542 5026
2. Your legal rights
If you are buying as a consumer, your statutory rights are protected by applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
We aim to make these terms clear and fair. If a provision is not enforceable, the rest of these terms will continue to apply.
3. Products and product information
We take care to describe products, prices, photographs, colours, dimensions, battery requirements and performance information accurately. Product images are for illustration and packaging or minor details may vary. Where a product specification changes, the current information shown on the product page applies.
Our torches and lights must be used in accordance with the product instructions. Check the correct battery type and polarity before use. Do not use damaged batteries or products, and keep batteries and lights away from young children unless the product is designed for them.
Ordering
Prices, payment and delivery.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you place your order. We currently offer standard and express UK delivery options as described in our Shipping Policy.
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is normally authorised when you place your order. If a payment is declined, reversed or cannot be verified, we may be unable to accept or complete the order.
We make reasonable efforts to keep pricing accurate. If we discover a genuine pricing or product information error before dispatch, we will contact you and give you the choice to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
5. Placing and accepting an order
When you submit an order, you are making an offer to buy the products shown in your basket. We will send an order acknowledgement, but this does not by itself mean that the order has been accepted.
A contract is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation, unless we have told you that we cannot accept the order. We may decline or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, there is a clear pricing or listing error, delivery is unavailable, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. If we cancel after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.
Please check your order details carefully before submitting it. If you need to correct an error, contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that changes can be made after an order has entered processing, but your statutory cancellation and return rights are not affected.
6. Delivery
We currently deliver to UK addresses only. Delivery options and charges are shown at checkout. Our Shipping Policy gives the current service information; delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates unless we expressly agree otherwise.
We aim to dispatch orders promptly. If an order is delayed, we will provide an updated estimate where possible. If goods are not delivered within the period agreed with you, or within 30 days where no period has been agreed, you may have the right to require delivery by an additional reasonable deadline or end the contract and receive a refund under applicable law.
Tell us promptly if a parcel arrives visibly damaged, is incomplete or contains the wrong item so that we can investigate and help. This request does not remove any legal rights relating to faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods.
Returns and support
Clear help when plans change.
7. Cancelling an order and returning goods
If you are a UK consumer, you normally have the right to cancel an online goods order within 14 days after the day you receive it, without giving a reason. You must then send the goods back within 14 days after telling us that you wish to cancel. To cancel, email admin@rubbertorch.com with your order number and a clear statement that you want to cancel.
You may handle the goods only as you would in a shop to check their nature, condition and operation. We may make a reasonable deduction from the refund if the goods have been handled beyond what is necessary and their value has been reduced. You are responsible for direct return postage for a change-of-mind cancellation unless we have agreed otherwise or the goods are faulty, incorrect or not as described.
We will refund the product price and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered when you ordered. We may wait until the goods are returned or you provide evidence that they have been sent back. Refunds are made to the original payment method unless we agree another method.
We also offer a voluntary return period for eligible items. The current conditions and return instructions are set out in our Refund Policy. That policy and these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
8. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
If a product is faulty, damaged in transit, not as described or not the product you ordered, contact us at admin@rubbertorch.com with your order details and, where helpful, photographs of the issue. We will work with you to arrange an appropriate remedy.
Depending on the circumstances and the time since delivery, your legal remedies may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund. We will not ask you to give up rights provided by consumer law.
Using the website
Website use and ownership.
9. Using the website
You may use the website for lawful personal or business shopping purposes. You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security or operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape or reproduce its content in a way that breaches these terms or applicable law.
We try to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free from viruses. We may update, suspend or change parts of the website when reasonably necessary.
10. Intellectual property
All website content, including text, product photography, graphics, logos, layout and design, belongs to Rubber Torch, DSOLOMON LTD or the relevant rights holder. You may view and use it for personal reference and shopping. You must not copy, adapt, distribute, sell or commercially exploit it without written permission, except where the law allows.
11. Links to other websites
The website may contain links to third-party websites. They are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Check the terms of the relevant third-party website before using it.
Legal protection
Responsibility, privacy and disputes.
12. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your legal rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable or for business losses where you are buying wholly or mainly for business purposes.
We do not limit or exclude liability for goods that are faulty, unsafe, misdescribed or not of satisfactory quality where the law prevents us from doing so.
13. Privacy
We use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Information submitted through our contact forms or checkout is used to process orders, provide support and meet our legal obligations.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, products, services or legal obligations. The version applying to your order is the version displayed when you place that order. The latest version will remain available on this page.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you will also benefit from any mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve any concern fairly.
